1. Introduction
At Footpick ("we", "us", "our"), we take your privacy seriously. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through the Footpick mobile application ("App"), how we use and share it, and what rights you have. The App is available on Android only.
2. Information We Collect
- Account Information: Name and email address, provided either via email/password registration or via Google Sign-In.
- Usage Data: Your interactions with the App, content viewed, and preferences, including your selected language.
- Device Information: Device model, operating system, unique device identifiers, IP address, and language settings. We also use Google Play Integrity / Firebase App Check, which generates a device attestation signal to confirm requests come from a genuine, unmodified copy of the App and to prevent abuse.
- Purchase Information: Records of Coin purchases and VIP subscription status. Payment card details are processed and stored by Google Play, not by us.
- Push Notification Data: A device push token, used to send you notifications about matches, coupons, and account activity. You can disable notifications at any time in your device settings.
Information we do not collect: We do not collect your precise location (GPS), phone number, physical address, contacts/phonebook, or camera/photo access. We do not use any analytics, tracking, or advertising SDKs (e.g., Google Analytics, Facebook SDK, AdMob) — we collect no aggregated or third-party behavioral analytics data.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve the Service
- Manage your account and provide support
- Process Coin and VIP subscription transactions
- Personalize content, predictions, and coupon suggestions
- Send push notifications you have not opted out of
- Maintain security, verify the authenticity of App requests, and prevent fraud or abuse
- Comply with legal obligations
4. Sharing of Information
We do not sell or share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We may share it with:
- Service Providers: Google Play Billing and RevenueCat, to process and manage Coin purchases and VIP subscriptions; Firebase (a Google service), for authentication, account security (App Check), and backend infrastructure.
- Legal Requirements: When required by law, court order, or to protect our rights.
- Business Transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
5. Data Retention
We retain your personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, or as required by law. You may permanently delete your account and associated data at any time directly from the App (Profile → Delete Account). Deletion removes your account, purchase/coin history, and activity records from our systems, subject to any data we are legally required to retain.
6. Data Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including secure authentication (Firebase Auth) and device attestation (App Check). No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.
7. Children's Privacy
Footpick is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If we learn we have collected such data, we will delete it promptly.
8. Your Privacy Rights
General Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights under applicable data protection laws, including the right to access, correct, delete, or object to the processing of your personal data, and to request data portability. To exercise these rights, contact us using the details below or use the in-app account deletion feature.
GDPR (European Economic Area / UK)
If you are located in the EEA or UK, you have the right to: access your personal data; request rectification or erasure; restrict or object to processing; request data portability; and withdraw consent at any time (without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal). Our legal bases for processing include your consent, the performance of our contract with you (providing the App and subscriptions), and our legitimate interests (security and fraud prevention). You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority.
CCPA / CPRA (California)
If you are a California resident, you have the right to: know what personal information we collect, use, and disclose; request deletion of your personal information; correct inaccurate personal information; and opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell or share your personal information for money or other valuable consideration, and we do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes beyond what is necessary to provide the Service. CalOPPA
This Privacy Policy is publicly accessible and identifies the effective date above. You may review, request correction of, or delete your personal information at any time by contacting us or using the in-app account deletion feature. Do Not Track: The App does not currently respond to "Do Not Track" browser signals, as there is no accepted industry standard for how mobile applications should interpret such signals.
9. International Data Transfers
Your data is processed using Google Cloud infrastructure (via Firebase), which may be located outside your country and involve international transfers. Google maintains its own safeguards for such transfers. We take steps to ensure any transfer of your data complies with this Policy and applicable law.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via in-app notice or email.
